Custom Activewear Design Guide: 3 Ways to Build Your Collection

CozyActive supports brands through three flexible activewear development routes designed for different product ideas, launch schedules, budgets, and customization requirements.

Choose full custom development for an original product, ready-to-order customization for a faster private label launch, or semi-custom development when you want to modify an existing style around your brand direction.

A complete tech pack is helpful but not required. You may also begin with sketches, reference images, measurements, or an existing garment.

3 Development Routes

Choose the Product Development Route That Fits Your Brand

1

Full Custom Development

Create an original product from the beginning

Develop an original activewear product around your concept, target customer, tech pack, references, measurements, and brand requirements.

Custom activewear technical drawings, tech pack, sports bra, and leggings
  • Original pattern and product structure
  • Custom measurements and size grading
  • Full fabric, color, trim, and construction control
  • Custom fit, support, coverage, and functional details
  • Complete logos, labels, hangtags, and packaging
Standard MOQ 100 pieces per style per color
Development Time Longest of the three routes because original pattern and sample development are required.
Best For Brands requiring unique products and maximum control over fit, design, fabric, and details.

Ready-to-Order Styles

Launch faster using existing CozyActive styles

Select an existing product and customize the available colors, sizes, logos, care labels, hangtags, and packaging for a faster private label launch.

Ready-to-order activewear sports bras and leggings in multiple colors
  • Use existing in-stock product styles
  • Select available garment colors and sizes
  • Add custom logos, care labels, hangtags, and packaging
  • Lower development requirements and faster launch
  • Suitable for market testing and initial collections
Possible MOQ May start from approximately 30 pieces per style, subject to stock and customization requirements.
Development Time Fastest route because the original pattern and product construction already exist.
Best For Brands that want to launch quickly with lower initial development risk.

3

Semi-Custom Development

Modify selected details of an existing style

Start from an existing CozyActive style and modify selected measurements, construction details, fit, materials, or branding around your product direction.

Sports bra with annotated strap, neckline, panel, and length modifications
  • Modify necklines, straps, sleeves, or garment length
  • Adjust selected measurements and fit details
  • Add pockets, panels, waistbands, gussets, or liners
  • Change fabrics, colors, branding, and packaging
  • More differentiated than ready-to-order customization
Standard MOQ Generally 100 pieces per style per color, depending on the selected product and modification scope.
Development Time Usually shorter than a completely original product, but longer than ready-to-order customization.
Best For Brands wanting visible product differentiation without developing every element from zero.

Development Route FAQ

How do I choose the right development route?

Choose full custom for an original product, ready-to-order for a faster launch using existing styles, or semi-custom when you want to modify selected details of an existing style.

What is the MOQ for each development route?

Full custom and semi-custom projects generally begin from 100 pieces per style per color. Ready-to-order styles may support lower quantities depending on stock, product, and branding requirements.

Is a physical sample required?

Sampling is required for full custom and normally required for semi-custom development. For ready-to-order styles, the requirement depends on the changes made.

Can I start without a complete tech pack?

Yes. You may start with sketches, reference images, measurements, written notes, or an existing garment sample.
